Welcome to the site of Lancaster University's cheerleading squad... The Lancaster Roses

We are a fun, enthusiastic, exciting and talented squad, consisting of three groups: a dance, a cheer and a games squad. We train together and separately in order to perfect our own areas of cheerleading.
This Cheerleading society was first set up to support sport teams but has since developed to incorporate stunts into routines and has progressed immensely. We have taken part in several competitions and have been awarded trophies for our outstanding performances. We are constantly improving and trying out new stunts and intend to better our performances at each competition.
The squad consists of around 70 members and expects to have many more joining in October. All members must be dedicated in order to retain their place. The society practises a minimum of 4 hours a week and at least 6 hours nearing competitions. Last year, we were very proud to have 7 male members who acted as towers of strengths for many of our stunts enabling us to do new and daring stunts.
The squad also finds time to socialise outside of practice times where lots of drunken and sober cheer fun is had by all.
