10-25-08 - 'Underground' Screening

Screeing: 7.00pm Tuesday, Week 3

of a new Martial Arts film ‘Underground’ made by a local filmmaker Chee Keong Cheung.

Filmed in and around Lancaster ‘Underground’ tells the story of 12 fighters, brought together for an underground tournament to compete for the price of £500,000. They have been handpicked for a no-holds barred competition that will push each fighter to their limit. Each fighter has their own reason for competing, and each will give everything they’ve got to take the prize...but there can be only one winner.

The film features Joey Ansah who featured as an assassin in The Bourne Ultimatum, Mark Strange who was part of the stunt team for Batman Begins and three times World Kickboxing Champion Nathan Lewis. The stunt team included Dave Forman who did fight choreography for The Last Samurai and Batman Begins.

Chee and Mark Strange will be at the screening to answer any questions and elaborate on their filmmaking careers including Chee working with Martin Scorcese. and Strange Tickets will be £3 with a purple card and £4 without one.
