For information about the committees, including taking part, please contact the relevant officer on the executive committee.

Education and Welfare Committee

This committee discusses all matters related to welfare, academic affairs and residential issues concerning Graduate students. It will discuss current issues and problems and recommend policy to the GSA. Members of the committee may be interested in specific issues and take on portfolios, such as LGB issues, women's issues, men's issues, disability issues, issues for part-time students, residential issues etc. Members may also be course reps interested in seeing the 'wider picture' within the University, or people interested in education and welfare issues generally.

Responsible: Welfare and Residences Officer.

Recreation Committee

This committee deals with the organisation of sporting and social events for Graduate students. Members may be interested in helping out with social events with whatever time they can give, they may have a specific event that they would like to organise, or they may be involved with Graduate College sport and be interested in getting involved with the organisation of teams for Carter Shield events, or of more informal sporting activities.

Responsible: Sports Officers.

International Group

This is a focus for Graduate Students who are from overseas. It will deal with welfare and academic problems that affect overseas students in particular, and organise social events for overseas students. Any overseas students may join, and British students with a particular interest in overseas matters are welcome to come along too.

Responsible: International Officer.

Chancellors Wharf Committee

This committee is for Chancellers Wharf residents only, and is intended as a forum for residential issues and any other issues affecting Chancellers Wharf. It can also be used to organise social events away from the main Graduate College facilities.
