Family Support

The Student Support Office in University House has a number of leaflets and other information packs for families who are coming to the university, and can also provide one to one advice on the various facilities available such as the pre-school.

There are a number of parent and toddler support groups based in the university, details of which are available from the office, or the Students' Union, who also run a toy library from where toys and games can be borrowed for free.

For those who are not studying, but accompanying their partners here and wish to improve their English or undertake some other course while they are here, then the Adult College in Lancaster runs a large number of courses. The University Department of Continuing Education runs an even wider range of courses at the university during the day, evening or during vacation times. They are located in Bowland North, and produce a regular guide to what is available.
