Chairman

Vincenzo Neglia

I am 22 years old and from Manchester. I am a post graduate, studying a Masters in HRD and Consulting and I'm currently the Assistant Dean of Cartmel college. I enjoy playing football and also the social aspect as well! I play centre midfield, playing a season at semi-pro level in Italy. I played in the 1st team at Manchester Metropolitan University for two years before moving to Lancaster in 2004. I also play on a Sunday for Woodacre Gardens who play in the Manchester and Ashton district premier league. I'm usually found in the gym keeping fit, and im usually out every night with the lads. With regards to the footballing aspect in the club, I expect 120% from everybody in the club! I expect everyone to attend all training sessions and games throughout the year.

The main objectives this year that have been set by the exec are ;

1) All three teams WIN thier own BUSA competitions

2) All three teams WIN at Roses!

3) All three teams WIN at Lancashire Cup

4) The Saturday Team perform well in the league, securing the teams status for next year

1st Team Captain

Andrew Settle

I am a third year Law Student from Bolton. I am 20 years old and enjoy anything to do with sport and also going out socialising. I am very honoured to be Club Captain of Lancaster University Football Club this year and promise to give it my best shot. We have a very good squad this year and the club is looking forward to development on and off the field. I play centre midfield and have played football for Bolton Wanderers Academy for 6 years and look forward to passing on what i have learned from extremely good coaches at the academy. I am in grizedale college and i am also pool captain for the coming year. i am a very socialble person and can normally be found in either grizedale bar or the law library.

2nd Team Captain

George Cheeseman

I am 21 years old and in my fourth year of study at Lancaster University. I have played for the University football club in the two years prior to my placement year and am extremely excited about my return to representing the University once again. It is even more rewarding and an honour to be returning as Second Team captain. I have big hopes for the second team this year and with the quality of players within the squads, we should be pushing for a top of the league finish. I am a player who really enjoys football, especially winning, and that is something I want to ensure my team does. All I ask for from my players is 100% commitment, effort and support for one another. From my experience the University club set-up this year is the best that it has ever been, and as a result should help all three teams to success.

Good luck for the forthcoming season.

3rd Team Captain

Simon Plant

I am this years third team captain. I am in my second year at Grizedale College and study English Literature for my degree. I am originally from Bolton and have played football for as long as i can remember, from primary school all the way up to college and saturday league's. My greatest football achievment was recieving the player of the divison award in the 2003-2004 season which was voted for by all the managers of the teams within the league. This year, even though we got promoted last season my aim is to get promoted again as well as having a good cup run, we have a good setup now throughout all the exec and there is no reason why we cannot achieve our goals for the upcoming season. See you all a training.

Secretary

Ben Duxbury

I'm a 3rd year studying Law and have played for the football team throughout my university life. I was second team captain last year and enjoyed the responsibility so when the opportunity arose to be on this years exec I was pleased to get involved in the minor role of secretary. Hope we can be successful again as a club and feel with the efforts of the exec and everyone else this is a real possibility.

Treasurer

Niel Morgan

I am a second year Law Student from the Wirral. I am 19 years old and have enjoyed playing football from an early age. I also enjoy socialising especially with the University football squad. I am a defender who usually plays at left back but can play anywhere along the back line. I have been at a few Football Academies since the age of 9 finishing at Wrexham when I was 16. I hope that my part time banking experience will help me in "balancing the books" and I look forward to my year managing the finances whilst playing for the University.

Publicity Officer

Rich Streeton

I am currently a third year student from Harrogate. Playing for the university team is an experience I would recomend to anyone- the club is really moving forward with a new exec at the helm, and a lot of things are expected this year from everyone involved.

my role as publicity officer demands that the general 'name' of the club is upheld through match reports and constant good publicity. Football is an integral part of my life as i have always played from a very young age. I enjoy both the physical challenge and the camaraderie that is experienced playing for such a tightly woven team. With the acquisition of a new coach, the club will no doubt go from strength to strength, and welcome a return to form, with all three clubs dominating.

Social Secs

Nick Craven

Im 19 years old and im in my second year at Lancaster, I play in centre midfield for the University. I have represented Great Britain on an international tour of the united states. My role as social sec will undoubtedly provide me with some challenging tasks, but i intend to give it a good shot and help the social side of the club run smoothly. My hobbies are football and quiet reading time. My favourite bar on campus would be Grizedale.

Kris Ingham

I am from Leeds, and play in central defence. Thoroughly enjoyed my time on and off the pitch with the team. Would recommend anybody serious about football to give it go. Throughout this coming season i am sharing the responsibility of social rep for the football team.

Pete Beliacqua

I am from Burnley and I am in my second year at Lancaster. Since joining the football club last year I've had many great times both playing footy and socialising with a really sound bunch of lads. This year I'm sharing the responsibility of organising the social nights for the footy teams so I'll look forward to seeing everyone this year and welcoming the 'freshers' to the club. Enjoy the quality and the top nights out!
