Is Nightline for me?

Do you think your a good listener? Can you abide by our Tenets? Do you want to give something back to the student community? Are you looking to improve your communication and listening skills? If yes, then Nightline may be for you.

 

Who can become a Nightliner?

As long as you are a current student at Lancaster University, either full time or part time, undergraduate or postgraduate, you are eligible to train to become a member. Nightline operates an equal oppourtinities policy. Everyone is welcome, regardless of race, sexuality, nationality or disability.

 

How do I become a Nightline volunteer?

Volunteers are always needed. Training for 2006/07 will be given to all new trainees, and the next one will be in October. The training will usually be carried out over several days, and then a selection process, where current Nightliners will assess those trained sufficiently to go on the phones.
