Welcome to Lancaster University, as a student you are automatially a member of Lancaster University Students' Union, LUSU. We are here to ensure that your University experience is the best it can possibly be. We offer our members a wide range of services and through these we endeavour to ensure that you receive the best advice, value and representation.

Representation: Here for you

LUSU is the sole representative body for students a Lancaster University. Its' primary function is to provide student representation to the University and external groups, however, it also offers welfare and education advice, campagins and student activities such as sports teams, societies and volunteering.

Who Is In Charge

Fundamentally, you are, as it's your union. If you wish to have a say in how LUSU and the University is operated, then you can stand for election. We are all students and any member may stand. All decision-making members of the Union serve for one year and are elected annualy.

Here to Help

Within our main building there is an advice centre containing a huge amount of information and advice if needed, with several staff advisors available to talk to. Whether you have a financial, accommodation,consumer or academic issue, there is always friendly, free and confidential help available (open Mondays to Fridays 9am - 5pm). LUSU Advice also ortanised the Course Rep System to mak sure you are getting the most out of your degree and increasing the communication between yourself and your academic department.
