Is the Purplecard still an NUS card?
The Purplecard is recognised as student id.
Where will students be able to get hold of the cards from?
Cards will be available throughout Intro Week and beyond. If you pre registered, you'll be able to collect your card from the LUSU Information Desk. For the rest of the Academic year they will be available at the LUSU Information Desk, Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm or NOW at weekends from 11am-5pm.

Will the card still be recognised by retailers giving discounts to students?
The Purplecard is recognised locally for many discounts but if you want to receive discounts from national stores such as HMV, Topshop etc you would be able to purchase an NUS Extra discount card for £10 from the the LUSU Information Desk. This new card also incorporates the ISIC card. You will need a photograph to apply for this card. In addition, Purplecard holders will receive an additional set of local discounts and deals.
Will I be able to change cards during the year?
If you start with the red card and later decide to opt for the purple, cards will be available from the LUSU Information Desk throughout the year. You can also decide to buy an NUS Extra card at any time throughout the year from the LUSU Information Desk.
How will the details I give to you be used?
The details you give to use when you register for a Purpleard will be handled in line with the Data Protection Act. They will be used by the Students' Union to enable the administration of services such as student activities and to provide you with up to date information regarding matters that effect or are of interest to students.
Will my details be shared with anyone else?
Your details will never be passed onto any 3rd parties.
