Existing/Prospective Members

If you intend to be a member of an Athletic Union club or society next year you'll need to purchase the purple card to join up. The one-off £10 charge covers all central administration and insurance costs to LUSU. Once you've got the card, you can join as many groups as you like with only their joining fees to pay.

Non- Students Members

If you are not a student at the university but still wish to participate in a student club or society, you will need to register for a 'Non-student Card'. These cost £10, which covers the insurance required for anyone involved in our clubs and societies. Unfortunately, non-student members cannot register for the Purple, Red or NUS-extra cards as these are for Student members of the university only. To register for a non-student card you will need to be over 18 years old.

To register for this card, you will need to fill out the non-student card registration form . If you fill this in and bring it to the LUSU info desk along with a passport photograph, £10 cash or cheque and proof of age then we will register the card for you.

Club & Society Execs

When joining new members to your club or society in October, all you'll need to do is:

*check that a student has the purple card

*record their name and lusu card number

*charge them a membership fee if you have one
