Societies Union is one of the largest LUSU committees. It is here that all the major decisions regarding societies are made. At least one representative from each society attends.

The chair of Societies Union is a non-sabbatical officer and is elected annually in the Michaelmas Term by a campus wide ballot. Their responsibilities include calling and chairing Societies Union, sitting on Union Council and representing the views of Societies to LUSU.

This is the only meeting where all the Societies get together in one room and discuss what is going on. It can prove to be an interesting meeting so if you feel like it, turn up and see what goes on!

At the Summer Term meeting of the Societies Union, seven steering group reps are elected to sit on Societies Union Executive Committee and co-ordinate their steering group.
