The Societies Union Executive Committee consists of LUSU's General Secretary, the Societies Non-Sabbatical Officer, who chairs the meeting, and the seven steering group reps.

The committee puts together the agenda for Societies Council meetings one week before the meeting takes place, carries out disciplinary procedures, decides the allocation for Additional Grant Funding and also meets with students wanting to set up new societies, which it has been busy doing recently!
