Safety in Clubs

All Athletic Union clubs are affiliated to LUSU which means they are supported by LUSU in making their activities safe to take part in. LUSU takes health and safety very seriously and has created several safety documents which the execs must follow. The main one which all groups must adhere to is the Safety Framework.

Each of the clubs also have their own code of practice which they have created with advice from LUSU. This document presents a collection of procedures which the execs and the members must follow so that the activities take place in a safe way.

When you join a club you agree to abide by the clubs code of practice and constitution so it is worth having a look at them before you join.
