LUSU Welcome Statement

Lancaster University Students' Union embraces the diversity amongst its members and its local community. It seeks to celebrate and share in the strengths that this diversity has to offer. It recognises that humanity is still scarred by the belief that race, religion, disability or sexuality make some people's lives worth less than others. That genocide, racism, anti-Semitism, fascism, xenophobia and discrimination still continue.

We have a shared responsibility to fight these evils. With over 100 countries represented here at the University we are privileged to have the opportunity to engage with a vast number of diverse cultures.

Lancaster University Students' Union is happy to state that 'We support diversity, decency and a warm welcome to Lancaster.'
