There are six sabbatical officers of the union. These are students or recent graduates who are elected to represent all students. These are paid positions lasting one year, with the new team taking office at the beginning of July.

Sabbaticals' jobs are to represent students views to the university management, to make sure students' voices are heard and to ensure that there is a diverse range of quality services available. This can be anything from raising issues such as improving campus facilities through to national concerns such as the funding of higher education.

Elections for these positions take place annually in Week 8 of the Lent Term. More details about these officers can be found by contacting any of the current team or in Bye Law 2 of the Constitution.
