What I do and How I can be of help:

Gen sec is an interesting position in the fact that I dabble in lots of different parts of the union. Firstly as a trustee I am one of three people that are ultimately responsible for the general direction of LUSU and ensure that LUSU continues to operate in a way that benefits the students. I work very closely with societies and ensure that they have representation both within the union and the university and I also work closely with JCR’s especially during Intro week and their individual Extravs. Along with the CRO and elections sub I’m also the Sabb officer that is responsible for the elections that take place in the University and ensuring that the union remains democratic.

Any student that has a general query or question about the student union should feel that they can come and speak to me.

What do you hope to achieve with a year in office?

There are many things that I hope to achieve during my year in office. The biggest challenges that I would like to complete would be to bring in E-voting for Union elections, working hard with JCR’s to ensure more cooperation and working together and to ensure that the constitution changes reflect what Lancaster students need from their student union

Football, beer and maybe a boat to get home when I get bored.

I can snort spaggeti up my nose and then out my mouth

Future job/career after Sabb:

I’m hoping to join the police when I finish, other than that I have no idea.
